Mekhoe Attorneys was establish on 14 April 2014, as the founder of the firm, Ms. Mekhoe obtained her LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 2007, and further attended and completed practical legal training through the school for legal practice (LSSA) in 2008. Ms. Mekhi is an admitted Attorney having been admitted in 2010. Ms. Mekhoe served her articles of clerkship at Mathipane Attorneys, where he was trained and mentored to provide legal assistance to the City of Johannesburg (Mathipane attorneys major client) in civil litigation.

She worked for Legal Aid South Africa (LASA) as a legal volunteer, where she was assisting in both criminal and civil department. She also worked as an attorney for the South African Human Right Commission (SAHRC), giving her much needed Constitutional law Experience. She handled all the legal in house matters in favour of the institution, assisted in developing new complaint handling manual. She conducted community out reaches, educating communities about human rights and promotion of access to information (PAIA). She was further tasked with ensuring that both the public and private sectors comply with paia. She took part in subpoena hearings, mediations and conciliation processes of the SAHRC.

During this period she further gained valuable experience in drafting legal opinions, reports with recommendations to individuals and both private and public bodies in matters relating human rights. Having passion to the legal profession, Ms. Mekhoe decided to open her own practice (MEKHOE ATTORNEYS) to grow further in the legal fraternity and contribute to the upliftment of the broader society especially those who still find legal services inaccessible. She is a member of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces (which is the Attorneys professional association) and also a member of the Attorneys Fidelity Fund
